Katsina PDP, APC bicker over state of affairs

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State has berated the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration for alleged several financial misdeeds and lack of accountability in the handling of state finances.

The party’s chairman, Salisu Majigiri, at a press conference, said the APC had failed “woefully”, going by its campaign promises.

Majigiri said that despite all the monies accrued to the state, the people had not only been experiencing “excruciating pains, but reduced to beggars”.

Reacting to the allegations, the Special Adviser, Political to the governor,  Shehu Zango, said the PDP was only being mischievous and playing to the gallery.

Zango said the masses in Katsina State could attest to the fact that the APC government had delivered most of its promises.

He said there were abundant projects and achievements recorded in the areas of education, agriculture, health and security.

“Our government is open and transparent and can account for all expenditures unlike in the past PDP government. Go round and see, they just want to talk as usual. But our projects speak for themselves,” he said.
